What's included
Before we touch a board, we check ledger attachment, footings, joists and posts for rot, rust or movement.
Individual rotted or cracked boards and joists are cut out and replaced without disturbing sound sections of the deck.
A failing ledger connection is one of the most common causes of deck collapse, so we inspect and correct flashing and attachment as needed.
Rusted nails and corroded brackets are swapped for corrosion-resistant, code-rated hardware.
Loose railings and shifting stair stringers are re-secured to current safety standards, not just tightened in place.
Once repairs are done, the deck surface is cleaned and prepped so it's ready for staining or sealing if you choose.

How do I know if my deck needs repair or full replacement?
If the main framing, posts and ledger are still sound, repair is usually the right call; we'll tell you honestly if too much structure has failed and rebuilding makes more sense.
Is a wobbly railing actually dangerous?
Yes. A loose railing is one of the most common deck safety issues we find, and it's usually a quick, affordable fix once we're on site.
Can you repair a deck that wasn't built by KP Landscaping?
Absolutely, most of our repair calls are on decks we didn't originally build.
Will repaired sections match the rest of the deck?
We match lumber species and dimension as closely as possible, though some color difference is normal until the wood weathers or is stained together.
