Drainage done right - crushed stone backfill, perforated pipe and filter fabric behind every wall
Proper embedment - base course buried below grade and compacted, steps keyed into the slope
Caps and finish - glued cap course, clean back-cut, grade tied smoothly into the lawn
Good to know
Walls over 4 feet need engineering and usually a permit - we handle both. If an existing wall is leaning or bowing, that's water pressure behind it; rebuilding with proper drainage costs less than most people fear and ends the problem for good.

Can you replace my failing timber wall?
All the time - timber walls from the 1990s are hitting end-of-life across Western New York. We remove, re-excavate and rebuild in block or stone.
