Stump Removal
Grind out the stump, the surface roots and the tripping hazard. We take stumps 6-12 inches below grade, backfill with the grindings or topsoil, and leave the spot ready to seed or replant.

Good to know
Grindings make good mulch but poor lawn. If you want grass where the stump was, ask us to swap them for topsoil instead. Utilities are marked before any grind below 12 inches; the locate call is free and we make it for every job.
Common questions
Can you remove the stump the same day as the tree?
Usually, yes. Booked together, removal and grinding finish in one visit and price better than two separate trips.
Will grass grow where the stump was?
With topsoil backfill and seed, yes. Old grindings tie up nitrogen as they break down, so we remove or supplement them first.
