What's included

Composite board consultation

We bring color and texture samples on site so you can see how each composite line actually looks against your house.

Hidden fastener installation

Boards are installed with a hidden fastener system for a clean surface with no visible screw heads.

Frost-depth footings and treated substructure

The framing underneath is still pressure-treated lumber on frost-depth footings, built to the same structural standard as any of our decks.

Proper ventilation and drainage

We space and vent the substructure correctly so moisture doesn't get trapped under composite boards over the winter.

Manufacturer-backed material warranty

Composite boards carry the manufacturer's own material warranty in addition to our workmanship warranty on the installation.

Two-year workmanship warranty

Installation and framing work is backed by our two-year workmanship warranty.

Composite costs more per board than pressure-treated lumber but skips the annual staining and sanding, so the tradeoff is upfront price against long-term upkeep.

"We picked composite specifically so we'd never stain a deck again, and after three winters it still looks like the day it went in."

Composite Decking FAQs

Is composite decking actually maintenance-free?

Not entirely maintenance-free, but it never needs staining or sealing. An occasional soap-and-water cleaning is typically all it takes.

Does composite decking get slippery in snow and ice?

Most modern composite boards have textured surfaces designed to resist slipping, though we still recommend clearing snow like you would any deck.

Can composite boards be installed over an existing wood frame?

If the existing framing is structurally sound and properly spaced for composite, yes; if not, we'll recommend reframing first.

How does composite pricing compare to wood over time?

Composite costs more upfront than pressure-treated lumber, but avoiding annual staining and periodic board replacement often narrows that gap over the life of the deck.
