What's included

On-site design consultation

We measure your yard, talk through traffic flow and sun exposure, and design the layout around how your family actually spends time outside.

Frost-depth concrete footings

Footings are dug below the local frost line so the deck stays level through repeated freeze-thaw cycles instead of heaving.

Engineered framing for snow load

Joist spacing and beam sizing are calculated for our regional snow-load code, not just the manufacturer's minimum spec.

Permit drawings and filing

We prepare the plans your municipality requires and file for the permit so the job is fully legal and inspected.

Multi-level and built-in options

Stairs, built-in benches, planters and multi-level layouts are all things we can design into the deck from the start.

Two-year workmanship warranty

The carpentry, framing and finish work on every new deck we build is backed by our two-year workmanship warranty.

Materials

Pressure-Treated LumberCompositeCedarAluminum Rail

Pressure-treated lumber keeps the upfront cost down while composite and cedar trade a higher price for a different look and less annual maintenance.

Process

From first call to done right.

1

Design consultation

We walk the property with you and sketch a layout that fits the space and your budget.

2

Written proposal and material selection

You get an itemized estimate and pick decking, railing and finish options before anything is ordered.

3

Permitting and site prep

We file for permits, mark utilities and prep the site while materials are staged.

4

Framing, decking and final inspection

We build from the footings up, pass municipal inspection, and walk the finished deck with you.

★★★★★
"They talked us out of a layout that would've blocked our kitchen window and suggested one that's actually better. The deck cleared its first heavy snow load without a creak."

Custom Deck Building FAQs

Can you build a multi-level deck on a sloped yard?

Yes, sloped lots are common around here and we regularly design multi-level decks with stairs to work around grade changes.

Do I need a permit for a new deck?

Most new deck builds in our service area require a permit, and we handle the drawings and filing as part of the project.

How far in advance should I book a build?

Spring and early summer fill up fastest, so we recommend getting a written estimate a few months ahead of when you want the work done.

Can you match an existing deck design if I'm adding on?

In most cases yes. We can extend or match an existing structure as long as the original framing is sound enough to build from.
